Harry – Left McKee Jun 24

Dear Brian and Ian,

Aileen & I want to express our deepest gratitude for the incredible support and guidance you provided to our son, Harry, during his time at Mckee College. Your professional expertise and engagement with Harry through the Military Preparation Course have truly turned his life around. As parents, we found it challenging to understand why Harry was struggling in mainstream school, but your insight helped us realize that a different structure was what he needed. Now, Harry has been accepted into the Royal Marines at just 16 years old, and we are so proud of the mature young man he has become. Thank you both for your outstanding work and for helping Harry pave the way for a successful career in the Armed Forces.

In addition to cards etc sent in this is the communication, thanks and updates received

“We would like to pass on our thanks, to yourself and Mick and all the other staff, as you have all gone above and beyond for X and it is really appreciated so much.”

“Your school looked like a lifeline but it turned out to be much more than even that. The sensitivity and kindness that X’s teacher and support worker’s showed her was matched by their determination not to lose sight of her educational goals”

“The dedication, professionalism, care and concern for X and for all the pupils at the McKee that we have witnessed during X’s time with you is in our eyes extraordinary. Your school has been a beacon of light and hope for us”

“I would just like to personally thank you and your team for all the work you have done with my son X over the last 2 years. He is practically unrecognisable today, from the boy who started at McKee in 2020. His behaviour, his manner, his overall outlook on life has taken such a turn for the better. The course has given him structure and an actual life plan, which I’m so proud of and confident that he is going to have every success and that is 100% down to you and your team”

“Hello Andrew and all you wonderful staff at McKee.

I simply wanted to tell you all what an amazing job you all do. X was considered a ‘lost cause’ even before he moved to me in England.

The time he spent with you all made him an even better person, he prevailed, he did things he never thought he could do and he started trusting himself.  He finished college as the international student of the year and went on to university to study mechatronics for 2 years.

Covid hit, and as you know he needs a firm frame and support. He left uni and moved back to Iceland. X is doing well. He is a hard working, proud man. He’s had the same, and only, job now for 3 years. He lives with his girlfriend and is doing good things. I want to say all thanks to you, but it’s thanks to him for being able to use the tools for life that you gave him.

So thank you from the bottom of my heart and carry on helping young people whom others have given up on.

“Afternoon,

I just wanted to send a quick email to thank yourself and your staff for all of the amazing work you put in to support students, including my son X.  Aneta works tirelessly every day and is having a really positive influence on X, I cannot tell you how grateful I am for the support he receives.

I feel like we are all too quick to send a message of complaint and we don’t say thank you often enough so I just wanted to thank you, and each amazing person that works for you, for the job you do every day. It makes more of a difference than you realise and gives some of us parents hope that we have a setting that understands our children”
