On Wednesday 8th February a group of Year 11 GCSE Literature students took to the road on the long trip to London to watch a performance of “An Inspector Calls”, the J B Priestly play.
It was a long trip but worth it as the experience of watching a West End production of the play is something that few students from “up north” ever have.
After the play we had a whistle stop tour of the city, taking in views over the Thames, Buckingham Palace and Leicester Square.
Watching this play will have deepened the students understanding and help them construct stronger responses to the questions raised in the GCSE examination.
It was also a lot of fun!
On behalf of the staff I want to thank all the students who participated in making this such an enjoyable trip.
